Lisa F. - I know first hand that prayers work! Please pray for Rene P. She was diagnosed with breast cancer about the same time as I was. She has developed an infection after surgery and had to be readmitted to the hospital. There appears to be other health issues going on while she is recovering.

Praise the Lord! - from Traci H., Dad was sent home last night, all the tests came out great and dad is doing fine. He will take off work today but should be okay to go back Monday. Thank God for all of this good news. |
In an email from my friend, Dave J., he shared that his mother has had a recurrence of cancer. Dave gave me permission to share this news with our church prayer warriors so that we can all be remembering to pray for Mrs. Johnson and the rest of the family. Following is an excerpt from Dave's emails: April 30: ...just tonight my mom got results from some “suspicious” test results. Sadly, the cancer has returned.... Before it was in her leg and they removed it and we thought all was well. That was less than a year ago. Now its on her spine. I’m horrible with the details (probably because I’d rather not hear it at all), but I know it can be a pretty vicious form. I talked with her tonight and she says, “I’m choosing joy!” which she truly is .... Just pray for me and my family. May 1:
Mom got some better news today – her bone scan was clear and the spot on her ovary was just a cyst. So, at this point it appears the cancer is still localized. I also remembered what she has is a Sarcoma (very rare and can be aggressive). |
Traci H. - Please be in prayer for my dad, Darrell W., he collapsed today at work and was taken by ambulance to Williamsburg Regional Hospital. He did regain consciousness before they put him in the ambulance, he is in the emergency room right now and has been there since about 2:30pm, they are running tests to see what if anything is wrong. Please pray that he will be alright and for guidance and wisdom for the doctors. |
Lenda H. - My best friends daughter has an interview at Bruton H.S for a secretary
position, she is working 3 jobs and really needs something more stable.
She is only 20 years old with a 4 month old and is living with her mom.

is tomorrow.

| Lisa F. - Dear Church family - I wanted to send out a quick note to let everyone know what is going on this week. I am scheduled for surgery on Wednesday at Sentara Careplex. It will be quite a lenghthy ordeal. I will be having 3 different procedures with 3 different doctors. I am expecting surgery to last about 5 hours.I would like to say that I am very calm about all of this but I am not. I continue to pray for God's peace and strength and continue to play over and over in my head my favorite verse - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil 4:13. Please keep my family in your prayers - especially Greg and the girls. I am not the best patient. I am very independent! |
Blanche - Last week I asked you to pray with me for my cousin's husband, Ed, who was facing his final chemotherapy treatment. I received an email from Mary this morning with news about Ed's treatment: We appreciate everyone's prayers so much.; Ed had far fewer side effects this time than he has had for the last 3 treatments, and we know it's because of all the additional prayer.; He feels practically back to normal and is ready to dive back into work after being off for 2 months.; He is scheduled for more tests on April 21st and every 3 months after that, to monitor his condition.; We won't have medical confirmation until after the April tests, but we are confident that God began a good work in Ed and is bringing it to full completion. Thank you again for praying.; We know it made a huge difference. Continue to pray for Mary and Ed! Praising and rejoicing in the presence of the Great Physician!! |
