Locally we serve our community through Upward Basketball each fall; Vacation Bible School every summer; delivery of Thanksgiving dinners; an Angel Tree at Christmas; and several fun, family-oriented carnivals. In addition we make our building available to various community groups for meetings, classes, and other events. A local Narcotics Anonymous group meets at GBC every Monday at 7pm. And S.H.A.R.E., a food distribution program, works out of our building once each month.

Some of our members serve around the state and country by working through the Southern Baptist Convention's Disater Relief efforts.

International missions efforts include annual trips to a Russian orphanage to share the love of Jesus with the children and staff through camps and various projects. Other members have traveled to Africa with He Intends Victory, a Christian ministry to those affected by HIV/AIDs. A local chapter of He Intends Victory can be contacted by clicking here.
